Making a Difference

Service

The Civil Air Patrol is very service oriented. At Mountain Lakes, cadets are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of service activities.

SEARCH & RESCUE EXERCISES

The Civil Air Patrol is on the forefront of all aspects of search and rescue. At Mountain Lakes, we join with other squadrons to combine flight, ground, and communications practice in real-world scenarios. The cadets may choose to participate in a variety of search and rescue exercises throughout the year.

FLIGHT TRAINING

Air support is crucial to successful search and rescue missions. Our cadets may choose to participate in flight training if they are interested in this particular area.

GROUND TRAINING

Ground support is a major part of search and rescue. Whether it’s communication, location, first aid, or extraction, volunteers must be thoroughly trained in all aspects of ground support. Cadets may train in a number of different areas depending on their particular goals and interests.
